# ChainZap Consumer Terms of Use

**Version:** v3.2 — Pre-Incorporation\
**Last updated:** 7 October 2026\
**Effective date:** \[TO BE COMPLETED\]

> Working draft. The ChainZap contracting entity, governing law,
> registered address and final liability regime have not yet been
> established. This draft reflects the current Consumer Service and
> should receive final local legal review before paid scaling.

## 1. Scope and Acceptance

These Consumer Terms of Use ("Terms") govern access to and use of the
ChainZap Crypto Risk Assistant and other ChainZap features expressly
made available for individual consumer use (the "Consumer Service").

These Terms do not apply to ChainZap Business services, Payout Control,
Incoming Exception Control, business APIs, pilots, enterprise
integrations or separately contracted business services.

The Consumer Service is intended only for persons aged **18 years or
older**, or any higher age of legal majority required by applicable law.

Where ChainZap presents an acceptance screen, you must affirmatively
accept these Terms and the applicable Privacy Policy before using the
relevant Consumer Service. ChainZap may record the user/account
identifier, timestamp and version of the Terms accepted.

If you do not agree, do not use the Consumer Service.

## 2. Geographic Availability

The Consumer Service is **not offered to persons located in the United
States or the European Union**.

ChainZap may restrict availability in additional jurisdictions where
reasonably required by applicable law, sanctions, third-party provider
restrictions, payment-provider requirements or operational
considerations.

Availability of a ChainZap website, Telegram bot, Mini App, language
version or other interface in a jurisdiction does not itself mean that
every Consumer Service or paid feature is legally available there.

You must not knowingly circumvent geographic restrictions through VPNs,
proxies, false location information or similar means.

## 3. About the Consumer Service

The ChainZap Crypto Risk Assistant provides automated informational
assessments relating to supported crypto wallets, addresses,
transactions and blockchain activity.

Depending on the network, asset, data availability and functionality,
the Consumer Service may analyse or display publicly available
blockchain activity, transaction characteristics, wallet/address
information, sanctions or restriction signals, token or issuer
information, risk indicators, exposure signals, third-party labels or
intelligence, and data-coverage limitations.

Results may be presented using risk levels, statuses, reason codes,
explanations or similar indicators.

Each result reflects information available to ChainZap **as of the
timestamp associated with that result**. Later blockchain activity,
provider updates, sanctions designations, issuer actions or other events
may change the relevant risk picture.

## 4. Informational Risk Assessment --- Not a Guarantee

ChainZap provides automated informational risk assessments based on data
available at the time of the check.

A ChainZap result is not a guarantee that a wallet or transaction is
safe; that funds are lawful, "clean" or free from illicit activity; that
a counterparty is trustworthy; that a transaction will not later be
blocked, frozen or investigated; or that all relevant risk information
has been identified.

Blockchain and third-party information may be incomplete, delayed,
unavailable, inaccurate or subject to later change. The absence of an
identified high-risk signal does not prove the absence of risk.

Where sufficient information is unavailable, ChainZap may return
`INSUFFICIENT DATA`, `CANNOT VERIFY`, limited coverage or a similar
result rather than treating missing information as a positive result.

Automated risk indicators are not statements of criminality, illegality
or misconduct by any identifiable person or organisation.

## 5. Not Financial, Legal or Regulated Compliance Advice

The Consumer Service does not provide financial, investment, legal, tax
or regulated compliance advice; KYC services; a regulated AML
determination; or certification that funds, wallets, addresses or
counterparties are lawful or safe.

ChainZap results may provide additional information that you may
consider when assessing a crypto transaction. You should not treat a
result as a guarantee or as the sole basis for a significant financial,
legal or compliance decision.

## 6. User Responsibility

You decide whether to send or receive crypto assets, interact with a
wallet or address, proceed with or decline a transaction, request
additional information, or take any other action after reviewing a
ChainZap result.

ChainZap does not make these decisions for you and does not
independently authorize movement of funds.

## 7. Non-Custodial Service

ChainZap does not require and you must never provide private keys, seed
phrases, wallet recovery phrases, transaction-signing credentials or
passwords granting control over crypto assets.

ChainZap does not custody crypto assets, control wallets, sign or
execute transactions on your behalf, or take ownership of your crypto
assets.

## 8. Third-Party and Blockchain Data

The Consumer Service may rely on public blockchain networks and
third-party infrastructure, explorer, security, token-risk, sanctions,
restriction-list and blockchain analytics services.

Current production data sources may include services such as **MistTrack
and GoPlus**, subject to applicable licensing, availability and product
configuration. ChainZap may add, replace or remove providers over time.

Third-party information may be incomplete, delayed, unavailable,
inaccurate, changed or differently interpreted by different providers.
ChainZap does not guarantee that every possible source has been
consulted or that all sources will agree.

Third-party labels or information are displayed or incorporated only to
the extent permitted by applicable provider arrangements.

## 9. Coverage

Not every check is available for every blockchain, token, address or
transaction. Coverage may vary by blockchain, token, transaction type,
data source, jurisdiction, provider and technical availability.

A result with limited coverage should not be interpreted as equivalent
to a result based on broader coverage.

**Unknown or missing information does not silently become a positive
result.**

## 10. Deep Checks and ChainZap Credits

A Deep Check credit is charged for a successfully completed Deep Check,
**not for a particular risk outcome**.

A Deep Check may successfully complete while the available evidence
remains insufficient for a confident conclusion. In that case, the
result may remain `INSUFFICIENT DATA` and the applicable credit may
remain used because the paid analysis was performed.

Where the required paid provider is unavailable, times out or returns a
technical error that prevents the paid Deep Check from being performed,
ChainZap may restore the applicable credit to the user's ChainZap
balance and/or return an available Basic result.

Where provider unavailability is known before the Deep Check begins,
ChainZap may avoid reserving the credit.

For transaction checks that cannot be completed (`CANNOT VERIFY`) or
where an applicable screening process fails in a manner designated by
ChainZap as non-billable, the reserved ChainZap credit is restored.

Restoring a ChainZap credit is **not the same as refunding the original
payment** made through Telegram Stars, OxaPay or another payment
channel.

## 11. AI-Assisted Features

Certain conversational features, including **Ask ChainZap**, may use
third-party artificial intelligence models to explain an existing
ChainZap result or answer questions about available signals and general
cryptocurrency topics.

AI-generated responses do **not** calculate or modify ChainZap risk
scores, sanctions matches, transaction matching results or stored risk
statuses. The underlying ChainZap result is determined separately.

Standard status explanations, signal descriptions and overview
information may be generated through deterministic rules and localized
templates without an LLM.

AI-generated responses may contain mistakes, omissions or imprecise
language. If an AI-generated response differs from the stored ChainZap
status, structured signals, coverage information or reason codes, the
stored structured result should be treated as authoritative for purposes
of the Consumer Service.

## 12. User Access and Account Security

Certain features may use Telegram identity, a ChainZap account, Mini App
or web access, authentication credentials, usage counters or paid
entitlements.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of credentials and
devices under your control and should notify ChainZap if you reasonably
believe access has been compromised.

ChainZap may use pseudonymous or hashed identifiers to administer usage
limits, history and service access as described in the Privacy Policy.

## 13. Paid Features and Payment Channels

Current paid offerings may include time-limited Pro or Trader access
passes, one-off or bundled Deep Check credits, and other paid Consumer
Service features displayed before purchase.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, paid access passes are **not
automatically renewed**. A new purchase is required after the applicable
access period expires.

Payments may be processed through supported channels, including
**Telegram Stars** for eligible purchases within Telegram and **OxaPay
or another disclosed payment provider** for eligible web purchases.

The payment channel, amount, payment unit, access period and included
usage will be shown before purchase.

Payment-provider or platform rules may also apply.

## 14. Refunds and Restored Credits

Refund eligibility depends on the payment channel, product purchased,
applicable law and circumstances.

A restored ChainZap Deep Check credit is an internal service credit and
does not itself constitute a refund of the original Telegram Stars,
crypto or other payment.

Where a paid service fails because of a confirmed ChainZap technical
error, ChainZap may restore the relevant service credit or provide
another remedy consistent with applicable payment-channel rules and
mandatory law.

Any mandatory refund, cancellation or consumer rights remain unaffected.
The current Sales & Refunds policy, where published, forms part of the
applicable purchase terms.

## 15. Fair Use and Prohibited Use

You may use the Consumer Service only for lawful purposes.

You must not use it to facilitate unlawful activity; evade sanctions;
test, structure, split, route or modify transactions to avoid detection
or screening by VASPs, financial institutions or authorities; facilitate
money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud or concealment of illicit
proceeds; interfere with ChainZap systems; bypass access controls or
rate limits; obtain unauthorized account access; systematically scrape
or extract the Service; reverse engineer it except where such
restriction is prohibited by law; resell Consumer outputs without
written permission; or publish a ChainZap risk indicator as an
accusation that an identifiable person committed a crime or unlawful
act.

ChainZap may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to
prevent abuse, security threats or unlawful use.

## 16. Sanctions and Legal Restrictions

You may not use the Consumer Service where doing so would violate
applicable sanctions, export controls or other binding legal
restrictions.

ChainZap may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to
comply with applicable law or binding restrictions imposed on ChainZap
or its providers.

Availability of a website, bot, Mini App or language version does not
mean that every possible use is lawful in your jurisdiction.

## 17. User-Submitted Data and Service Improvement

You retain any rights you have in information submitted to ChainZap.

You grant ChainZap the limited rights necessary to process submitted
wallet addresses, transaction identifiers, queries and related
information to provide, secure, troubleshoot and improve the Consumer
Service, subject to the Privacy Policy and applicable law.

Where permitted by applicable law and the Privacy Policy, ChainZap may
use aggregated or appropriately de-identified service data to understand
service performance, improve coverage, prevent abuse and improve product
functionality.

This section does not authorize ChainZap to sell personal data or use
private keys, seed phrases or signing credentials.

## 18. Service Availability and Changes

ChainZap may update, improve, add, remove or modify Consumer Service
features over time. Features may become unavailable because of
blockchain changes, provider changes, security concerns, legal
requirements, technical limitations or product changes.

ChainZap does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability.

Where a material change substantially reduces a paid feature during an
active paid access period, ChainZap will provide any remedy required by
applicable law and may, where appropriate, provide replacement access,
service credits or a proportionate remedy.

## 19. Intellectual Property

The Consumer Service, including software, design, documentation,
interfaces, proprietary logic, branding and other ChainZap materials, is
owned by or licensed to ChainZap or the applicable rights holder.

These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right
to use the Consumer Service for its intended consumer purpose.

Blockchain data or third-party information may remain subject to the
rights and terms of the relevant source.

## 20. Privacy

ChainZap processes personal data in accordance with the applicable
ChainZap Privacy Policy.

Do not submit unnecessary personal information through wallet,
transaction, Ask ChainZap or support fields.

Never submit private keys, seed phrases or recovery phrases.

## 21. Security

ChainZap applies reasonable technical and organisational measures
appropriate to the Consumer Service. No online service, blockchain
network, AI provider or third-party infrastructure can be guaranteed to
be completely secure or continuously available.

You remain responsible for securing your devices, wallets, credentials,
email or Telegram account, private keys and recovery information.

## 22. Service Standard and Limitations

ChainZap will use reasonable care in providing the Consumer Service.

However, the Consumer Service depends on blockchain networks, external
data sources and systems outside ChainZap's full control.

ChainZap does not promise that every risk will be detected; every
third-party data point will be accurate or complete; the Service will
always be uninterrupted; a result will remain unchanged over time;
absence of a known high-risk signal means a wallet or transaction is
safe; or use of the Service will prevent financial loss.

Nothing in these Terms excludes service standards, warranties or
consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

## 23. Suspension and Termination

ChainZap may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary
because of material breach, fraud or abuse, security threats, unlawful
use, sanctions or legal restrictions, misuse of infrastructure,
non-payment, or binding restrictions imposed by a required provider.

Where reasonably practicable and legally permitted, ChainZap will
provide notice or an opportunity to resolve the issue.

Where ChainZap terminates an active paid Consumer Service for reasons
not attributable to the user's breach, unlawful conduct or fault,
ChainZap will provide any remedy required by applicable law and may
provide a proportionate service credit or refund where appropriate.

## 24. Limitation of Liability

ChainZap does not seek to exclude or limit liability where doing so is
prohibited by applicable law.

Subject to mandatory consumer protections, ChainZap is not responsible
for losses caused solely by your independent decision to send or receive
crypto assets; loss or disclosure of private keys or credentials;
actions or failures of third-party wallets, exchanges, blockchain
networks, payment services or data providers outside ChainZap's
reasonable control; changes to blockchain state, sanctions status,
issuer actions or third-party data after the timestamp of a result; or
unlawful use of the Consumer Service.

The final contractual cap, if any, for direct damages will be
established once the ChainZap contracting entity, governing law and
target consumer-law framework have been finalized.

Nothing in this section limits liability or remedies that cannot
lawfully be limited.

## 25. Relationship to ChainZap Business Services

These Consumer Terms do not govern ChainZap Business Services, including
Payout Control, transaction-control APIs, business pilots and other
separately contracted business services.

Systematic commercial, professional or enterprise use may require a
ChainZap Business arrangement and separate terms.

## 26. Electronic Communications and Notices

ChainZap may provide service-related notices electronically through the
Consumer Service, Telegram, an email associated with your account or
another contact method you provide.

Marketing communications, where used, are subject to separate consent
requirements where applicable.

## 27. Changes to These Terms

ChainZap may update these Terms to reflect product changes, security
requirements, legal developments, third-party dependencies or
improvements in clarity.

The current version and effective date will be published with the
Consumer Service.

Where a change materially affects an active paid service or materially
changes user rights or obligations, ChainZap will provide reasonable
advance notice where required or reasonably practicable and will request
renewed affirmative acceptance where required by applicable law.

Mandatory rights to terminate or obtain a remedy remain unaffected.

## 28. Assignment and Future Contracting Entity

ChainZap may transfer operation of the Consumer Service and, where
legally permitted, the relevant contractual relationship to a future
ChainZap contracting entity, affiliate, successor or acquirer as part of
incorporation, restructuring, financing, sale or transfer of the
relevant business.

Any transfer remains subject to applicable notice, consent and mandatory
consumer-law requirements and must not eliminate mandatory consumer
rights.

## 29. Force Majeure

ChainZap is not responsible for delay or failure caused by events
outside its reasonable control, including major blockchain outages,
internet or cloud failures, cyberattacks, governmental action, sanctions
changes, provider outages, natural disasters or similar events, to the
extent permitted by applicable law.

This section does not remove any mandatory consumer remedy that applies
despite such an event.

## 30. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the
remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.

An invalid provision will not be interpreted to remove or reduce
mandatory consumer rights.

## 31. Language

These Terms may be made available in multiple languages.

Unless mandatory law requires otherwise, the English version is intended
to be the reference version in the event of an inconsistency between
translations.

## 32. Governing Law and Disputes

The governing-law and dispute-resolution provisions will be completed
when the ChainZap contracting entity and legal structure have been
established.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to deprive a consumer of mandatory
rights or protections that apply under applicable law.

ChainZap will not represent itself as operating through a legal entity
or jurisdiction that has not actually been established.

## 33. Contact and Disputes About Risk Indicators

General questions about these Terms may be sent to:

**support@chainzap.io**

A person or organisation that believes a ChainZap risk indicator or
associated information relating to an address is materially inaccurate
may contact ChainZap through the designated support or dispute channel
published by the Service.

Additional legal and contracting information will be published when the
ChainZap contracting structure has been established.
